Why are we making this change? Because our volunteers come from all over the Peninsula, many of our service partners operate across the Peninsula, and because needs rarely recognized city lines.
Why now? Because we just had a birthday!
What does it mean? Practically, this just means we will start taking advantage of opportunities to show kindness and meet needs across the Peninsula (Hampton, Poquoson, York County, Williamsburg, and of course Newport News). We will not change what we are already doing in Newport News, we will just slowly start to expand where we serve as opportunity and volunteers allow.
It’s a new world in more ways than one so join us as we work to show kindness across the Peninsula!
