Serve the City is all about spreading kindness and not COVID. To that end we have instituted a number of protocols to help keep both our volunteers and those we serve safe. These measures may change as circumstances and our understanding related to COVID change, which is why each time you register for an event you will check a box that says you have read the current COVID-19 Protocols.
The following protocols will be in place for all Serve the City Peninsula events:
- Masks are required for all indoor activities with strict physical distancing
- Masks are recommended for outdoor projects unless strict physical distancing can be maintained
- Hand sanitizer will be available at all project sites
- Work gloves will be washed prior to each event
- Tools will be washed prior to each event
- Project teams will be sized appropriately to the space available at each project site
- Volunteers will meet at project sites for check-in to eliminate large gatherings
If you have cold/flu-like symptoms, have been exposed to someone with COVID or stayed overnight outside the 757-area in past 2 weeks, or are just not feeling well then please stay home – there will be future opportunities to volunteer
