The benefit of school gardens on student attitudes towards learning and healthy eating are well documented and thanks to some designated donations this year we had the opportunity to partner with Newsome Park Elementary to bring that kind of hope to their students. This project started during our Big Volunteer Week and actually is still not completed with several more garden beds and a pergola to build. It is a long time coming but worth every hour.
