A group of hearty souls (including 8 Serve the City volunteers) got up way too early to be on a Newport News side street at 5:30am. You read that right! 5:30am!! Serve the City Newport News helped man one of the water stations for this year’s One City Marathon to hand out water and cheer on runners. Not one of our typical projects but the organizers from the city have been key supports of Serve the City and this is our opportunity to return the favor.
