The Exchange Club of Wythe  is a nonprofit composed of men and women who annually perform over 200 service projects per year whom we partner with to install handicap ramps in Hampton.  For the next month we have the opportunity to help them raise the funds that support their many programs by volunteering to help staff their annual Christmas Tree Lot starting November 12th and running through December 17th.

The tree lot is operated 7 days a week: Mon-Friday (4PM-8 PM), Saturday (9AM-8PM) and Sunday (12 noon-8PM) and is located  at 807 W. Mercury Blvd, Hampton VA  in the parking lot of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Work shifts are 4 hours long but can be tailored to volunteer’s schedule. Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks: helping build tree display racks, unbundling Christmas trees and loading them on racks. Volunteers also needed to spread Christmas cheer while helping customers select, carry, and tie/load Christmas trees into their vehicles. Training will be provided to volunteers by Exchange Club members upon arrival. Activity is outdoors, so please come dressed in work clothes (long pants and closed toe shoes) suitable for the weather. Wear old clothes you don’t mind getting tree sap on as it is hard to get off clothing.  You will be working in a lot that is not wheelchair accessible. Snacks and drinks will be provided to volunteers to help keep energy levels high.
